Miles for smiles: Running the hood to coast for cleft
Team Miles for Smiles, WE DID IT we had the privilege of running 196 miles for the @htcrelay with some incredible friends and creating a memory we will never forget, all while raising enough money so that TWELVE children will receive FREE cleft repair surgery What a gift it is to be able to accomplish something like this. Grace's feeding milestone
Huge day for Grace! Today we had an appt. with Grace’s pediatrician to see about starting the process of getting her G-tube removed, things went like we hoped and her pediatrician will be sending a letter of recommendation to the general surgeon to get the Gtube removed! Many children born with Cleft ARE able to use a bottle for feeding, or some form of a specialty bottle but there are also several cases where the children are unable to form a suction because of the severit

our amazing grace
July 6th, 2025 marks one year from Grace’s first Cleft Surgery, her Lip Repair & Gtube placement. A year ago Grace couldn’t take a bottle, she wasn’t rolling over, eating without a tube or sleeping more than 3 hours at a time. Over the past year she has had another handful of surgeries & procedures that I could argue she has handled better than most adults would have. Today Grace is thriving, she is eating on her own, has phased out of her special bottles, she sleeps 8 hours+
